Postdoctoral position in computational astrophysics
Workplace: Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic
Type of Contract: contract till December 2027
Expected Start Date: July 2025 or negotiable
Application Deadline: 18.04.2025
Key Duties:
• Position within a grant team studying mass-loss close to the Eddington limit
• Numerical modelling of hydrodynamics of mass-loss or radiative transfer in massive stars close to the Eddington limit
Skills and Qualifications:
• PhD Degree in astrophysics or related fields
• Not later than 8 years since receiving PhD
• Experience in computational astrophysics, especially numerical hydrodynamics or radiative transfer
